1)   Make sure the cu is connected to the Internet with a Hardwired connection...(Modem Connect To The Computer With an   Ethernet Cable)
2)   Bridge the Modem By Access GUI 
( Internet Light On The Modem Would ALWAYS be Off when we BRIDGE The Modem..)
3)   Connect The Router Between The Modem and The Computer...
4)   IPCONFIG... Check For Default Gateway :
5)   Access GUI with the Default Gateway...
6)   There are 4 types of routers usually used by At $ T Customers : 

         i) Linksys
                                         
        1. Open an Internet browser
        2. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
        3. Click the Go button or press the Enter key on the keyboard.
        4. Leave the User name field blank.
        5. Type admin in the Password field.
        6. Click the OK button.
        7. Choose PPPoE from the Internet Connection Type drop-down menu
        8. Type the complete username in the User name field (e.g. - username@bellsouth.net).
        9. Type the password in the Password field.
        10. Choose the Keep Alive option.
        11. Click either the Save Settings or Apply button.
                               
                                             
            ii) D-Link                            
        1. Open an Internet browser
        2. Type http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar
        3. Click the Go button or press the Enter key on the keyboard.
        4. Type admin in the User name field.
        5. Leave the Password field blank.
        6. Click the OK button.
        7. Click the WAN button on the left-hand side of the D-Link user interface.
        8. Choose the PPPoE radio button under WAN settings.
        9. Choose the Dynamic PPPoE radio button under PPPoE.
        10. Type the complete username in the User Name field (e.g. - username@bellsouth.net).
        11. Type the password in the Password field.
        12. Type the password in the Retype Password field.
        13. Verify that Auto-reconnect is set to Enabled.
        14. Click the Apply button.

             iii) NETGEAR                            
          1. Open an Internet browser
          2. Type http://www.routerlogin.net in the address bar (NOTE: Some earlier models of NETGEAR router used http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 as the default router IP address)
          3. Click the Go button or press the Enter key on the keyboard. 
          4. Type admin in the User name field.
          5. Type password in the Password field. (NOTE: some earlier models of NETGEAR router used 1234 as the password)
          6. Click the Basic Settings link.
          7. Choose the radio button next to Yes for Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?.
          8. Type the complete username in the Login field (e.g. - username@bellsouth.net).
          9. Type the password in the Password field.
          10. Leave the Service Name field blank.
          11. Type 0 (zero) in the Idle Timeout field.
          12. Choose the Get Dynamically From ISP radio button under Internet (IP) Address.
          13. Choose the Get Automatically From ISP radio button under Domain Name Server (DNS) Address.
          14. Click the Apply button.
            
            iv) BELKIN                                 
          1. Type http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar.
          2. Click the Go button or press the Enter key on the keyboard.
          3. Leave the Password field blank.
          4. Click the Submit button.
          5. Click on the Connection Type link under Internet WAN.
          6. Choose the PPPoE radio button for the Connection Type.
          7. Click the Next button.
          8. Type the complete username in the User Name field (e.g. - username@bellsouth.net).
          9. Type the password in the Password field.
          10. Type the password in the Please Retype Your Password field.
          11. Leave the Service Name field blank.
          12. Type 1492 in the MTU field.
          13. Click the Apply Changes button
          14. Click the OK button
          15. Wait for the 25 second countdown to finish
          16. The customer should now be able to connect and surf with a computer connected directly to their Belkin router. 
 

Wireless Is Not Activated In Win XP :  Go To Start  - Run - Services.msc  .. Wireless Zero Configuration... Started...Automatic And Click on Start...

Laptop... Wireless Switch or Fn + F2 Key  (Depends on the laptop - mostly press the fn key and the key with the blue icon of bluetooth)

Install BWCT..  HelpDesk\BellSouthWCT\BellSouthWCC.exe or Drivers.fastaccess.bellsouth.net

In Win  Vista ... No BWCT... Only Win Wireless Connection tool.. Start - Connect To - Or System Tray...

Please Note : If after typing http://192.168.x.x it doesnt work, you can type the default address in the address bar of Internet explorer window. Start >> Run >> cmd >> ipconfig >> look for default gateway.
