If you have multiple email accounts, this feature will "break", meaning no unread mail count will be displayed. it "breaks" as soon as the 2nd account is added.

If you don't want to show unread mail on the Welcome screen, follow these instructions:

Resolution :

Start >> Run >> regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft >> Windows >> CurrentVersion >> UnreadMail
Look for a value MessageExpiryDays in the right pane, and change the value to 0
Restart the computer
